General Health Status of Patients with Pemphigus Vulgaris

Background: Pemphigus vulgaris is a severe autoimmune disease that involves skin and mucosal membranes by blistering lesions of varying sizes. often associated with psychological stress. Objectives: This study aimed to show the status general health in patients suffering from this disease. Methods: A descriptive was conducted on 35 new cases pemphigus were referred tertiary level hospital March 2017 2018. Personal clinical data gathered interviewing. Assessment severity done Ikeda index, GHQ-28 questionnaires used measure their status. Results: total non-treated (16 females 19 males; mean age 48.3 years, range 25 - 84 years) participated study. Median score 4.1. Moreover, positivity detected 65.7%o patients. Social dysfunction anxiety/insomnia had higher scores subscales. There reverse relationship between values (P < 0.05). Conclusions: may negatively affect patients, issue should be considered treatment
